I've been in this space for over three years. Back then, every time I saw a "loot drop" or "lowest ever price" online, I'd buy it without thinking twice. That was the mistake.

One day I actually went looking for the old price — and that's when it hit me. The so-called deal was nothing. The MRP was inflated, the "discount" was manufactured, and I had fallen for it like everyone else.

So instead of just moving on, I thought: I'm already going to check the price history anyway — why not tell someone else too? If I've done the work, might as well share it.

That's how it began — a simple WhatsApp group where I'd share only the deals I personally verified. Friends started joining. They started trusting it. They stopped buying bad deals.

That group is still running today. Successfully. And that small thing — people actually finding it useful — is what pushed me to build DealsPing: to reach more people with the same idea, at a bigger scale.
